How To Check In & Out Of An Event
Turning on Location Services
Promomash does not currently have an app, but rather uses your mobile browser to access the system.
You will need to turn on your location settings on your browser in order for the check in/out feature to work correctly.
To turn on your location settings for Android on Google Chrome, follow these steps:
Open the Chrome app
Tap More to the right of the address bar
Tap Settings, then Site Settings
Tap Location, and toggle On
Ensure "Precise Location" is toggled on
To turn on location settings for iPhone on Safari or Google Chrome, follow these steps:
Go to Settings, then Privacy & Security
Tap Location Services, and make sure it is toggled On
Ensure "Precise Location" is toggled on
Scroll down to each browser, and under Allow Location Access, select the option "While Using the App"
Checking In For Your Event

From your Dashboard, click on Check In/Out.
The Check In/Out feature icon will not appear on your dashboard until the day of the event.
The icon will remain on your dashboard for the entire day, even if you have already submitted your event report.
Click on the Check In button
You will see a pop up on the next screen where demo.promomash.com is asking to use your current location. Click Allow.
If you click Don't Allow, your location will not be shared with Promomash and your check in will say "unknown location."
Your phone's GPS location in proximity to the venue will display. It should say "You are at the store!"
If your map is showing you are not at the store, the system will display your distance to the venue.
If you are certain you are at the correct venue, click on Recalibrate my location.
If your location is still not displaying accurately, ensure you followed the steps at the top of this guide to turn on your location services on your browser. Always ensure "Precise Location" is toggled on.
You can also upload a check in photo prior to clicking Check In.
You can upload an existing photo by clicking on Photo Library, or take a new photo by clicking on Take Photo.
Some companies may have this setting as optional, or required. The Take a photo button will tell you if the setting is optional or required for check in.
Please refer to your company's check in guidelines for check in photo requirements. Contact your company if you have any questions on their guidelines.
After selecting your photo, wait for the photo to appear on the screen, and then click the Check In button.
Once you have checked in, you will see a green banner that says You are checked in!
Click the X in the top right corner to close out of this screen, and return to your dashboard.
Checking Out Of Your Event
When you are finished with your event, while you are still at the venue, click on the Check In/Out button on your dashboard.
Your screen should still say You are at the store!
You can upload a check out photo prior to checking out.
Please refer to your company's guidelines on check out photo requirements.
After uploading your photo, click on the Check Out button.
A green banner will display that You are checked out!
Click the X in the top corner to close out of this screen and return to your dashboard.
